More Kevin Smith stuff.

Cathy Ladman's opinion on the matter. She's on the "widen the seats" side of the issue. She doesn't do anything to show why she's right on the matter. I'm sorry, but at the end of the day, the airliners are a business and if you want to do business with them, you adhere to their policies. Blaming their seating for your own issues is pretty much a microcosm of what's wrong with society today and why Reality TV is so popular.

A. Pawlowski's report. This one just does reporting and doesn't offer any opinions. Good job!

An article out of NJ.com
with some opinions illustrating both sides of the matter. Some of the comments are rather comical.

MSNBC Poll Article illustrating a sampling of opinion on the "fat tax". It should be noted this was done before the Kevin Smith debacle, but linked to a Kevin Smith article. The actual poll with comments is here. Again, some comments are rather comical.

My favorite NAAFA representative with more bullshit. "It's not fair to single out one group."

Hooboy...what I'd give to spend about 15 minutes with her. She really doesn't get it. Fat people are being singled out because you can generally do something about being fat. Tall people? Off with their legs! Muscular people? Penalize them for busting their asses to build their bodies. Big breasted women? Breast reduction surgery should be provided (unless the big titties are because someone put a 4 gallon sack of saline in there)! Tall, muscular, big-boobied women? See all of the above.

I'm not saying she doesn't have a few legit points. She's not even that fat herself and I wouldn't expect that she'd be kicked off an airline. What she's guilty of is deflecting blame. Until she comes out and says that fat people have to take responsibility for themselves rather than trying to get various companies to alter their policies to accommodate them, there's not going to be much she says that makes NAAFA look good.
